ALgae only at the top of the screen

Created myself an upflow ALgae scrubber sometime ago and
Used the 3D printed Santa Monica material. My old air stone was getting clogged so bought a new one. Ever since then the algae will o lay grow at the very to of the screen where the bubbles go out holes. Grows very well there but no where else? Could I of somehow messed the flow through the scrubber?

Cannot work it out and it was working so well before :(

Probably just too bright. Shade half the light for a week or two, or move it farther away.

It was working ok before and I have not changed the light

Yes but when new it needs less light.
