hello santamonica I currently have surf2x and I have diatoms problems due to high silicates in my marine aquarium, surf2x helps me to lower the silicates or do I have to use some resin to eliminate phosphates and silicates? my phosphates are low 0.02ppm and my nitrates 2 ppm Thank you

Scrubbers (algae) do not remove much of the silicates. I am surprised you have diatoms with the low N and P. Usually diatoms go away first. Maybe you have high silicates in your top-off water.
But yes, you can use GFO to reduce silicates and phosphate. Then feed more.

What is the black? Is it black gravel?

Yes, it is black gravel and so is the surf2x, I think because of the lack of nutrients, I did test for potassium 420, iodine .06, iron .0

Test for silicates? Test from top-off water?

It is a mineral supplement I'm testing to see if it helps growth, like you were getting in your Surf.
