This HOG scrubber®, which could be a 1.3 or 2 or 2x or 3 or 3x or 3xx because they look the same from this viewpoint, is taking up only 2 inches of space inside the sump glass wall, and 2" outside of the wall.

Even less space is needed for a HOG1 like this. This looks like a saltwater sump, so a HOG1 is too small for filtering, but it can grow food to feed. Only 1.5 inches (3 cm) of distance off the glass is needed.

The black shade cloth covers half the red light when new, so growth can get started without it being too bright (no brightness controller is used because they are not reliable)
