Plastisers in new PVC pipe don't encourage algae growth.

Hi All,

Been awhile since I've been on here as I was away in Cambodia last year for 2 months and then flat out with the work it created for me to go back this year.
God willing we will have a new aquaculture facility in Cambodia to produce 1-2 million fish for the local industry and to help finance the orphanage for girls and boys sold into slavery this next year.

On the above topic off plastisers in PVC, I have found new plastic to leech plastic residue that inhibits alga growth in the ponds that we line with plastic liners.

I contacted the local producer who said this was going to happen until a biological film had enveloped the surface.

New biological friendly plastic was being produced but was still exspensive so was not readily available.

Have found this to be a problem in new recirc facilities and that a curing period was essential before sensitive stock was introduced.

Anyway just some thoughts and a quick hello :)

Thanks Agold.
I have seen that same process and never thought it thru completely.
