hi guys after trying Various light figuration's
2 28w cfl u shaped lights these did not work too well
http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh210/recoilphotos/sumppics2709020.jpg
these were not strong enough

so i tried the screw in lamps 30 w each 2 on each side but still not enough
http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh210/recoilphotos/sump231109012.jpg

so i have increased the light 4 25w cfl bulbs in each bay giving 100w a bay at 2700k
now seeing good results starting to grow green
will post a pic off lights and screen after 7 days before fist clean under stronger lights
cheers oc

I agree, I'm running 8x 23w cfl (120w equiv) 2700k 4 on each side of a 14"x16" screen to get growth. may be overkill but it's growing

Would you get better results with 5000K lights instead of 2700K?

If there's a Big Lots near you, I've found 23w 5000K CFL bulbs there, you can get them at Home Depot as well. IIRC, they have 6500K as well.

hi bio
its stated in the FAQ section the best lighting is 2700k , your looking for a really soft warm white colour .
