I've been reading about how to culture phytoplankton. Basicly lights. plankton culture a X amount of miracle grow let it multiply a couple weeks. split it and do it again with the half you don't use. right?
Now does anyone think its possible to do the following.
one 2 ltr bottle with a decent phyto culture in it set up in growing conditions with lights and such. another 2 litre bottle with just salt water and a weak mixture of miracle grow. Create a syphon between the two.
you at some interval or very slowly on a continuous basis pump the phyto out of the green bottle..this syphons clean grow water into the green bottle so the phyto can mutliply more. Obviously you'd want to keep the grow water a low miracle grow content as possible.
Do you think you can balance the lighting conditions/miracle grow content/pump out rate to keep the culture running and continuously feeding a tank?
How elaborate of a system can be done? can you phyto the tank and phyto a pod culture and do all that stuff and continiously feed pods and phyto? Just curious if anyone has any information on tanks being fed continuously from a growing culture pods or phytoplankton.
