My two scrubbers (55gal. ats on the left and 30gal. ats on the right) are both using the recommended 120watt eq. R40 flood lamps. I am getting a lot of evaporation in both tanks. I was wanting to change to a different type bulb so it would be easier to enclose the ATSs to cut down on evaporation. Could anyone recommend a bulb type and a place I might be able to purchase them on line? Thanks for all your help!!

Just put the screen on the inside of acrylic, and use the same bulbs on the outside.

I second that change, for safety issues.
All that is holding those lights up is the clamp, and I do not see anything sealed.
So a bump on the socket or accidental pull on the cord, and splash, into the water they go.
And if that is a 2 prong plug for those sockets, the GFCI may not trip fast enough.

I am jealous of the great growth on a nice clean setup like that.

Thanks for the reply s. Do you mean put the bulb outside the acrylic box and shine the light through the plastic?
Wouldn't that cut down on the amount of light on the screen? Also heat up the plastic?

Yes. But you won't notice much difference.

Check these out. Not much wattage though. Waterproof a plus .
