Would something like this be overkill for a copepod producing scrubber for a 55 gal? Looks cool to me.

What would be a good/cheap choice for a 10" surface?

That looks good rygh. With the low power profile and long diode life on LEDs, I wonder why anyone would go for incandescent, fluorescent or or CFLs ;)
