How long can i keep the screen without the ATS running?

I've cleaned it and stored in fresh water.

Is that ok?

and then what? straight to the bin?

screen is clean and fully submerged in fresh water

in this case i will need a new screen?

whats the emergency alternative? its only the skimmer up running.

Without lights the screen will start dying in 3 days, so it's best to just clean it all off and wait until you put the lights on again.

If you need to remove nutrients in the mean time, just use regular methods: poly filters, water changes, vodka (careful), gfo.
