I have some photos of my scrubbers to give their opinion
before cleaning with fresh water every 7 days 16hors double illuminated display with 4 30w 6500k bulbs

How often I am tempted to prune?

Looks like your bulbs are too close to the middle. Try moving them back a bit so the middle does not get yellow. Or increase flow. Or you can add a little iron (like Kent's Iron + Manganese).

isnt it the closer light are the better for the algae to grow...?
and, what happen if u purne it after 7 days..?

CFL bulbs will burn the middle spot if too close. T5's are better because they spread out the light.

7 days is good.
