Too much Light?

I have an old power compact ballast with two 21" 65w bulbs in it. I was thinking, if I take this apart I could use one for each side of my screen. They would be about 4" away from my 12"x"12" screen. Will this be too much light? :?

You can't have too much light. You can only have too little flow. If the flow is not enough, the algae will turn yellow from lack of iron.
