what if you could buy a "regular" tank without a sump or overflow and just make a little surface skimmer box to hide the pump. you could then mount a sm100 or some ATS much like it right onto the wall above the aquarium. you could use an in-line heater on the line that feeds the ATS. if you did that WHY WOULD YOU NEED AN OVERFLOW????????? just an idea, because i cant stand the noise my overflow and sump make and i also hate trying to work on things under my tanks stand... :idea:

That's actually the best way to do it. No sump, no overflow.
