How do you integrate a fan into an ATS in order to cool the water?
Are there any pictures of this? Or any advice on how to integrate this?
Also, how effective is this in bringing down temps?
Is there any issue in fans blowing water "off the screen"?
My scrubber is an "open air" design. It's powered directly by my overflow going into the ATS and then into the sump. It's, double sided (lights on both sides) and it's 13.5" wide by 11" tall.

There are a few pics of fans in the examples, but any fan on the screen will lower the temp a few degrees. No problems.
I can't seem to find any pics of an ATS using a fan. I'm sure they exist but I guess I just couldn't find it.
If anyone out there has any pics of an ATS using a fan, I'd really like to see it.
Also, if anyone has any experience doing this, I'd like to hear about it.

i run a scrubber similer to the SM100. it has a 7cm gap where the screen goes. i use a couple of 12cm computer fans and just place them on top so that it blows down and over the screen onto the excess air blows onto my lighting and water surface to keep it working more efficiently and cools the water slightly. i noticed that my tank can go from 28C to 24.5C in a few hours. ambient being around 26C.

you can use any dc pwer converter as long as it has the juice to run a computer fan. computer fans are designed to run up to 15V and usually at around .1A. Just about any of the dc power packs you have in your house as chargers will work. Cut off whatever plug is on it and put some decent plugs on using some solder and heatshrink.
