Red hair algae?

I have a spot of what I think is red hair algae? Its really red and fluffy. any ideas? I pulled off a chunk today and it feels like wet fur.

Start using a hack saw blade to get it all off each cleaning.

Its not like wire. I thought turf was really tough. This is just like the green stuff, just bright red.

It's like fur.
