Assisting initial screen colonization. I have an idea that might be usefull.
I've not tried this mind you but the underlying principal seems like it should assist this.
While I was investigating alternative means of glueing certian types of plastic that pretty much every
Glue at best has trouble with. Plastics like HDPE, polypropolyne, acrylic, etc. Without using super nasty welding
Chemicals or desructivly melting the plastic.
I happened across info showing how just a quick pass a flame(no melting involved) allowed glueing of plastics
That I vey well know dk not stick together with the glues used.
Basically hit it with a torn just enough and water will no longer bead up in the surface. Then glue it. Fantastic!
Then as I was reading my old posts about screens. i thought thIs process must surely be able to assist initial growth on the screen
Whike Nylon isn't onr of those hard to glue materials. The concept should apply..and if this method makes glue stivk..and wayer to cease
beading..then I'd have to say I am fairly convinced it would help algae stick to the screen...
Yep. Thats all. Hey...if you give it a shot let me know how it turns out.
