So i should get rid then? The cheato is in the same chamber as the scrubber so getting the similar lighting..
I run a scrubber aswell as Cheato...still get good growth on the cheato, would this hinder the growth on my ATS or is it two separate algaes altogether?
regards
Steve
Interesting...could use a water wheel like design, have the pump outlet over the top of the wheel to rotate it. would be noisy though. essentially still a onesided screen aswell.
Nice build ace! I'd love a sump room but SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) would throttle me lol...Ace did you get my pms?

Gotcha...its sourcing the bloomin stuff is the problem. the only shop in the uk remotely close to rapidled is www.rapidonline.com i dont fancy getting things shipped due to our strict customs in the...
Hmmm probably around 5 inches in my canopy...do you think i could get away with no optics? Maybe just increase the spacing between the leds for a more even spread?
I was also looking at mounting under a hood? Is that possible with these type of builds with evapration etc??
How many drivers are you using to light those beautys up?? Are they dimmable drivers? And are they 3w leds?
So could i use these drivers making a diy aquarium light? How many leds would be needed to sufficiently light up a 80 gallon tank? Would the same equation of using a 1/5 of the power needed by t5s??...

Well surely that would be the same for the bulbs we use now? I have no idea what nm my bulbs put out now. Hence the reason in the stickies santa put up there is no mention of nm only kelvin?? Again...
Surely the pictures in the article show you that a 5100k outgrows a 2700k, regardless of dates. I mean the concept behind scrubbers outdates that information, so does that mean its no good aswell ...
How so? Theres 90 watts of light to a 81 sq in of canvas?
I think the problem with these pre fab'd units is the fact there not designed with water in mind and unfortunately go pop when you have them near it...
