Wouldn't it be bad to kill the pods wile still in the system? One, it would be decaying matter but, also the nutrient laden algae they have consumed would also be released back into the water column....

So if pods are sorta a bad thing for the scrubbers, can I do a simple FW rinse without scrapping the screen in between cleanings?
