No the display is not a factor here. But do a good brushing of the screen and tray, and check back in another week.
Wait until you have harvested 5 full screens, then turn off skimmer.
That's one way. Will give more food particles to the corals too. But wait until you've had several full harvests, so you know how it works.
You won't see the copepods... too small. Anyway you can reduce your other filtering now so the screen can get thicker.
Ok you are finally at the your first filled-in stage. The round spots are pods eating. And the spray is typical of a waterfall that has full growth.
Pods are always eating, but when the growth is...
Whichever you need to do, so you see the white screen again.
Looks good. Brush clean and let grow another week.
Use this as a guide:

Each tank is different. Nutrients measured in the water is just one thing. Most other things you cannot measure. Some scrubbers jump into action, others stay almost pure white for months, and others...
Because too much light will reduce growth.
Yes, more or less days of growth, to get the largest harvest. That will remove the most nutrients.
Just keep filling the screen and harvesting it. Change the number of days of growth to get the most growth.
Yes, not enough export compared to feeding.
Ok clean the screen, tray and pipe. That type of growth cannot hang on much longer. Probably will need to clean every 7 days while it grows like this.
Let grow and do pics
Yes take to the sink brush the tray/slot/screen. Then run with 1 light for another week.
It's not starting from scratch. Cells are attached to the screen.
Yes brush because you want to get the stuff out of the holes.
3 more days. Then brush most off, including tray and slot. Then run another week, still with 1 light.
Turn off the side with less algae. When the holes are full, turn it back on.
Turn off. It would have progressed much faster if you did that from the start.
Still too bright for 2 lights. I'd do one light.
No just let it fill in until most of the holes are filled, probably another few days, then plug in the second light. The roots are still attaching to the screen for the first time.
Just let it fill in. The first coating of growth of any screen takes the most time, from 2 weeks to a month, depending on chemistry. After all the holes in the screen are filled in, turn on the...
Use 1 light. Mag is not an issue and you do not need to think about it, unless you want to reduce it which is fine.
Seems fine, although a bit too much light.
Ok then just let them both run another week.
Looks normal, just let it fill in. Once most of the holes are filled in, plug in the second light.
The light is too strong on a white screen. After growth covers the white with darker colors, it can handle more light.
Unplug 1 light, and use just the other 1 light for the next 10 days. Should fill in nicely.
