    Refugium style tank with scrubber?

    As my 20G leaked and I dont have the patience or money for reef,I was thinking of going to refugium style tank.
    Do you think scrubber ll do any good to a refugium style tank ?
    Any advice or ideas ?...

    Well I dont see any dust storm but the brown algae on my glass shows distinctive patches of algae eaten by pods.

    The screen(not screen but Velcro) is single sided horizontal 4" wide and 17" long.
    I m planning to keep just one.The other inhabitant ll either be a fire fish,or a clown or a cardinal.

    I dont think flow rate for small tank has to be around 4-6 times/hr.
    I had gone as much as 20x/hr with small fishes like tetras,baby rainbows,loaches,small angels,catfishes etc
    And they wont mind...
