    Maybe you should dedicate a screen for each type you have vs having them duke it out for space?... Just a thought.

    Doing that however, might reduce any kind of immunities they are building up as...

    though water powered wheel is tempting for its simplicity.. I think you would need:

    1. LOT of water to move a grown out drum/screen... and

    B. It would have to also be moving pretty quickly...

    You got the proper lights dialed in now, and now you have a Starter Screen to mess with, from a proven system (My V Scrubber) this should help to see what's really going on...

    Fixed the lighting issue

    Also changed out lights, removed the spotlights and installed 2ea 30w 3000k linear standard CPFL so no more floodlights.

    Will add another center 2 ea CPFL shortly to increase to 4 CPFL screw...

    Its all about tank Volume too. A nano or smaller 30-50 tank has VERY little room for error while a 100Ga with 30 GA has MUCH more room for error... way more forgiving... and tolerance for pollutants...
