This is a pretty good example of the textured RAIN2 tray holding growth that has dropped off the screen. For best filtering, the screen should be cleaned sooner, but if not the tray will help.

Here is a nicely made DIY pole mount for a RAIN2, and a drain bulkhead added too. Note the microwave ready to cook algae.
8671
This is a rare situation where a pole mount is not used, but a regular shelf on the top of the sump is not either. Instead this RAIN2 is on a shelf halfway down the sump.

The RAIN2 with two GEM5 lights is enough light for most situations, and allows you to silicone in two more lights later if needed.

You might think this is a big screen from a RAIN4 (which is now available again) but it's just a RAIN2. Also it's an older photo with the previous wide-style hanging tabs, whereas the current ones...

Here is one side of a RAIN2 screen, easily pulled up and out of the tray when you want to take it all to your sink for cleaning/brushing. This way you can brush out the pipe slot too.

This RAIN2 has not quite filled in the screen yet but is growing a lot on the tray below. This is because when the screen is not cleaned soon enough, some growth can fall down to the tray, which has...
This RAIN2 (tm) waterfall scrubber is sitting on a pole mount in a saltwater sump. If you wanted to run the tank as a natural reef with lots of food particles in the water for the corals to eat, you...

No the screen is not pink; it's just the deep red 660nm GEM5 lights on the inside of the RAIN2 dome.

The RAIN (tm) patented tray (10,655,095) and patent pending dome (16848779) allow for easy viewing and cleaning of the bottom tray without turning off water or lights.

This RAIN2 waterfall scrubber looks to be slightly below the waterline in the saltwater sump, which is fine because its GEM5 lights are submersible and can go to the bottom of the sump if needed.

This RAIN2 is turned sideways, with the optional pole mount, and is lowered down so the tray is touching the sump waterline. This gives dead silent operation and (if the water rises up enough when...
This RAIN2 really needs to be cleaned/harvested sooner. The slime is great at filtering, but you don't want it letting go down the drain:

This RAIN2 waterfall scrubber is tucked down into a sump compartment, but not all the way down to the waterline.

Since the RAIN2 (also the RAIN4) has submersible lights that can be lowered down to the waterline, it frees up all the space above it. And since the optional pole mount for the RAIN2 (included with...
This RAIN2 sets on rails across the top of the sump. But as you can see from the size of the drain pipe, the drain could have been the mount instead.
