    black turf

ok so after noticing some cyano and dinos in my display last week I replaced all my CFL bulbs with shinny new ones,,but I am noticing that the dark "turf" algae is still out-growing the nice green algae in my scrubber. I used a hacksaw blade in a holder and removed 95% of the turf on the last 2 cleanings but it grows so much faster than the green algae. any tips? This is not a complaint as my scrubber is still doing it's job nicely,,I just strive for perfection

As nutrients come down, more green will grow.

when this scrubber was about 2 months old I had a ton of green but now it is getting replaced by the turf? is this a normal cycle?

I will be sending my water out to be tested soon and will post the results
