    My 28 gal tank

    http://s1130.photobucket.com/albums/m540/thehawk99/

I built a pvc overflow because it was cheap and I didn't have a drilled tank yet. Definitely drilled is better.
My tub sump has two large reflectors and a split screen. I am now, after three weeks, starting to get green growth.
The tank still has algae growing in it. I don't have a large enough pump to create a really good flow
for the ATS but the first screen is always full by weeks end. I am guessing that I am still pulling phosphates
    from the tank.
I feed once a day to my African Flameback, red hawkfish, purple gramma. Large cleanup crew
of narcissus, cerith, serpent star, cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp. Glad to provide any other info needed.

Yes if the screen is filling up, it is filtering.

Week six. This picture is one weeks growth. Screen has lots of green left on it after weekly cleaning.

Screen is still dark, must still be pulling P from the rocks. Can you increase wattage to speed it up?

Yes still high PO4. The screen is more green than the pic but still lots of brown. I am going to wait it out and also add some phos remover to my canister filter.
