Added third bulb to previous 2. Tested two weeks. Somehow algae growth reduced. Color changed to yellow.
As I understand light was too strong ? Returned to 2 x 9W bulbs.
Nitrates undetectable. Still have very small amounts of cyano.

Yes, too much light for the amount of flow/iron you have. What you could do is reduce the hours. Stronger light, for less hours, is better than weaker light for more hours. Strong light converts nutrients into algae, but weak light converts nutrients into DOC (which you can't harvest).
