    algae on glass!!

    my ATS has taken care of all of my filtration needs and has removed 100% of my cyano and hair algae. just one thing remains...the algae film on my GLASS !!! This green film is driving me nuts. I have to use my mag-float twice per day! any tips?

    Something is not right. Usually the glass is the first thing to clear up. It is caused by by nutrients in the water, not in the rocks or sand. If you are feeding lots of liquid coral food, it will clog up the glass quickly because the nutrients from the food hit the glass before they ever get to the scrubber.

    What are N and P?

    Does the tank get a lot of natural light?

    I get some on the glass on mine, particularly in the summer, but it's in a conservatory

    i feed only one cube of the liquid per day, but i will stop for a month.

    it does get some natural light around sun down
