What does this mean?
The algae is turning white. Actually it turns a slight brown hue, then goes to white like this.
I thought that the HA would just melt away slowly.
Has anyone else experienced this? or Does anyone know what is going on?

If you are running a TS then it is doing what you'd expect. It's starving and It's dying. That's what it looks like in transition.
SWEET
So, Would I speed up the process by manually removing it?
Note to the mods: Maybe you could fix my title. Spelling oops.
If you want to, and have the time, and inclination, you can remove it. Me, I like to see what what course nature follows.
Quetion?? What a maroon!
Actually I didn't even notice till you said something. DOH!
Ha, HA, that's funny. At least you admitted it.
I would agree with watching nature, but I have had this d@#n algae for the last 8 months or so. I have tried all the usual remedies. This one however is actually working. I can say that the two other tanks I am planning are going to be scrubbed. Big time.
