    first scrubber experiment

    Hello!

I have a scrubber going that seem to woork fine, but some time ago i did a very simple scrubber that did not work of course , but i think i would share some pictures with you anyway. This attemt of algaecrubber is a little bit funny

The scrubber did grow som algae, but it was just yellow algae.

The screen material was a filter pad from a extarnal filter that was cut into a very thin layer.
The light was a 20W halogen
The scrubber was a simple hang on back filter.

    Here is the pictures:

The main problem was the weak light. A 20 watt halogen is only equivalent to about a 5 watt CFL. And it was way too far away.
