75g Display is getting a new friend

So after running a skimmer rated for a 150 tank, running gfo, carbon and a five, I have decided to take the dive into scrubbers. All my friends have built their own and have nothing but great results for their tanks. So I stopped at my local hardware store and hobby shop to pick up the required materials. I start the build tonight, ill give everyone an update tonight when I get home and start building it!

Also I'm on my phone so sorry for any failed spelling and grammar!

So I built my algae scrubber today!! have to let it set for the night (had to make shift some things with silicone). Dont worry I used 100% silicon and does not have any mildew inhibitors in it!

Alright so off to the pics!

    Supplies:

    Testing Screen size:

Water flow test: Pretty good I think, most of the screen is flowing evenly. Now this could vary with my pump which is a maxi jet, but that's why i have the ball valve.

    Everything Drying:

    Everything together:

Now to let everything sit for the next 12-24 hours before it goes in the sump!

Its partially my camera, they are daylight bulbs. So they are not ranked the best, but they are ranked OK. It will get the job done and since I am also running a skimmer I am not too worried. Since I am just testing it out for now I did not want to put too much money into it. I already had half the materials, all I needed was 10 dollars worth of PVC. So if things start working really well, I will prolly replace the daylight bulbs with "soft" or "warm" bulbs.

Move the bulbs in so that the reflector touches the screen. This will put the bulbs about 3" from the screen.
