    These RC folks need help

Besides not knowing how a scrubber works, they don't understand that you can't ship water for oxygen tests:

And this fellow needs to understand that a 1-sided scrubber is going to be weak:

SM; Yes I believe you can measure oxygen in a bottle with lab grade instruments. That said, the guy is all over the map. He knows what he knows and no-one is going to get thru to him. Trying to correct him would be a disaster.

The single sided guy still has over three thousand square inches!!

The oxygen will not be what is collected. The organics in the bottle will start producing CO2, and consuming oxygen, within the hour. It happens so fast that on research boats they they take the measurement as soon as the water is taken from the ocean; waiting until they get to shore would ruin the tests.

I see you found that O2 / Salinity article there. Good article. What I find interesting is that the guy that posts he works at Inland Aquatics and posts his phone # and links, etc but does he get banned or anything? Nooooo...mention this site in a PM and it gets blocked, work around it and you get infraction points or banned. That's why I don't venture outside of the scrubber threads much.
