    Ricky's 120 Sps donimated.

Hey guys.. My tank is somewhere in the forum not sure where.. but In this thread I will post my growth pics along with problems that arise and how i'm dealing with them in ATS only tank.

Tank is 120g goal is that eventually it will be sps only.. but there are a couple lps pcs that i'm kinda attached to that will be hard to get rid off.

Anyhow. here is a couple pics..

    Scrubber:

    Basement sump

Tank is filtered by srubber only. Supplemented with Kalk.

However I overdosed the kalk by mistake two weeks ago and my CA skyrocketed to 560.. so I'm letting it slowly come down.

Right now I'm dosing baked baking soda to keep Alk up by allowing my CA to come down.

    Tests as of today.

    Ca 520
    Alk 8.2
    Mg 1520
    Ph 8.1
    NO3 Undetectable
    PO4 <.1

    Upcomming Projects:

Setting up Auto Feed system. (blended oysters)
Considering either SM style with the wine cooler or might go full blown with mini fridge.. still on planning stages.

Any comments, suggestions very welcome... please.

    Thanks!!

Do the fridge; you have the space.

Hope those monti caps take over, like they did with me. I just just threw away over one pound of caps the size of a vollyball.

CA 500 is not all that bad; I dose that high on purpose.

You threw away?.. are u serious!!!..

Reason im.doubtfull about the fridge is cus i would need yet another pump to feed it.. and then a doser.. so its more equip that can fail
Sm on a side note i just read on nanoreefs ur thread.. man people hate there... There is no place for that on a comunity talking bout fish.. kuddos to u man.. i was pissed just seing it.

Ok so its decided fridge it is.. only question i have is on feeding it.. not sure if i should buy a pump to feed it or use the return to the tank which will cut flow to to thank a bit.

If i use a smaler pump, you guys think it mqkes a diference if if it goes from the fride to the sump?.. or is it better if it goes from the fridge straight to the tank?

Always straight to tank is best, for feeding.

After looking at my tank for an hour something came to mind that would actually be my best option:.. A closed loop auto feeder.

that way I can put the fridge under the stand and run the thing with a mag 7, 5 or even a three..

What do you think?.. drill it.. from tank to pump under stand, from pump to fridge, from fridge to tank again.. that way I don't have to worry about getting a pump that can feed it and still pump water at 20 feet.

    Any cons?
