    New tank...New ATS

I am starting up my 150 gallon and want to put a ats on. When should i add this to the system before cycle starts? After cycle finishes? Light, I Have a ats already running about 1 week now and I use the CFL lights. So far so good, now on 150 I want to put t8 on them. Has anyone had any luck with them or should I just use t5 or the CFL? I don't want to use t5 because the cost of fixtures and the cost of energy. The CFLs have to be much more effieceint. Anyways hope to hear all the feedback
    Thanks

I would start scrubber straight away. That way you protect as much of the life in your expensive live rock from dying due to ammonia poisoning. It will also leave any food particles in the system and so feed those same occupants.
As Santa has said before, exactly the opposite of what a skimmer does.

T8 or T5 does not matter. What matter is how many watts, and how near the bulbs are to the screen, and how good the reflectors are.
