    randy's 2 parts and algae scrubber

    dosing randy's 2 parts requires 10% water change weekly as he mentioned that water change is required the ionic balance (wich i cant understand )

    my quistion is ?
    does running algae scrubber (mature screen ) will make this water changes not required ??/

    Its not required every week. It takes a long time for it to get to that point.

    If you dose two part you are constantly adding salt, so your salinity will increase over time. You don't have to do a traditional water change, but you do have to draw off some saltwater occasionally and replace it with fresh to get your salinity back in line. I do it roughly every two weeks. I just pull off a couple gallons of saltwater and let the ATO replace it with fresh.

    I think most people's acclimations will take care of removing some.

    I have been dosing randys 2-part for 2 years now,I only do about a 5% w/c per year,,If it not for mis-haps I would not even do that...
