how to hang the canvas in the slot

I've read the FAQ and several designs but i can't see how to hang the canvas in the slot. What keeps it in there? Right now, i just have some zip ties holding it against the pipe, but i don't see many people using those. Are they folding it over in the pipe or gluing something to the top edge to get it to stay in there?
My distribution pipe is 26" long, so i have 2 sheets hanging side by side.

so you're cutting a 1/4" channel down the center of the pipe and then suspending the canvas in the center with any of the above? how far into the pipe are you inserting the canvas?

I insert the screen in about 1/8". IMO if you overflow feed and something (anemone, snail, fish) makes it all the way to the slot tube, and your screen was inserted all the way, it could stop the flow. My way, it could push to the end of the slot.
