Functionally the new forums are working well for me, apart from tapatalk
I had no trouble logging in, loading times are fast, new layout is nice and clean.
The only gripe i have is the image/logo in top left, it takes up quite a bit of vertical real estate, kinda like an algae scrubber perhaps if the image was optimized to span horizontally it would be more aesthitically pleasing.
    Otherwise looking good.

Unfortunately, if you google something and it pops up an algae scrubber link formatted to the old site, when you click it you get the 404 error page. SM I wonder is there anything you can do, like re-directing that generic page to the main page?

Also I noticed that the search function doesn't work. I know there was discussion about the Algae Wheel and found the google link -> 404 error but search doesn't find it...or anything else that I've tried. I don't think search worked on the other site either though.

Just add these to your list of things to look into when you have a little free time...right???

    Will monitor the logo size/space.

Will see if 404's can be redirected to the main page.

Search seems to work fine... searched for "algaewheel" in the little search box at the top found it:

Yup, I see a lot of broken links now because they point directly to thread IDs that no longer exist.. growing pains that are to be expected with an upgrade like this though.

I agree about the logo in the top left, that has to be shrunk down. Even on my 30" monitor @ 2560x1600 resolution it still takes up about 1/5th the screen.

It works now for all posts since the new forum was created. But if you do a search for "Algae Wheel", there is a old thread titled "ALGAE WHEEL!!!" and it doesn't find it. If you search for "reef" only one comes up, and that's because it was posted to after the board went up. I'm sure there are hundreds of threads with 'reef' in it. Not sure if that one is fixable. You might have to do something like re-indexing the search database for the entire site.

SM my PM box is full all of the sudden. I think the default size is much less than what I had in it before the move, because someone just tried to PM me and it said it's full...
