Just last this morning I converted my 40G 6"x6" screen to LED's. I have four 660nm on both but on one side I have a blue in the middle. So I guess after a few cleaning we will find out which is better.

I don't understand what you are saying. Can you please explain?

Almost all the LEDs I've looked at have a viewing angle of 120-140 degrees. Putting LEDs close to the screen would call for the widest viewing angle possible, wouldn't it?

Yes, most do have a 105-140 viewing angle. But I was told by the guys at reefledlights that with out optics the most intense light comes in at 45 deg then at 60 deg then at the leds max whatever it is 105-140 deg.

I'm very interested in finding out as well.

OK thanks, now I get what you are saying. That's interesting-I'd have thought the most intense would be straight on.

I started a new thread where I am hoping to have everyone pool their LED builds. Anyone who has done one, please add your experiences and help others!!
