5 Days in on new resized scrubber

I have just downsized my scrubber to 7" by 10", I vary my feeding between 3-5 cubes depending if im feeding my nem or not plus a good strip of nori every other day. so its still a little over sized but not by much...its also lite with 2 cfl 45w bulbs. I am getting some green but I have alot of very dark algae growing, should i just let the algae keep growing as im only in by 5 days and give it all a good clean on day 7?
If I knew how to attach photos I would post some up....but aparently the uploader hates me and wont work

If it's dark enough that when you clean it the roots are yellow and straw-like, then it's blocking the light to the lower layers. If it's black, clean it now. If it's brown cleaning in 5 days may not be a bad idea, and just leave the green on.

I have never tried it that way, I click the manage attachments and just use the choose file thing, then hit the upload and its there.

I don't think drag-and-drop is activated. I know it is an option, but I don't remember turning it on.
