    main pipe diameter

I am going to be running off of a maxijet1200 which has a 1/2" output. Is a 1/2" pipe too small for drilling a slot, or should I upsize to 3/4" or even 1" PVC for the slotted pipe? I bought everything to do it with 1" but am thinking smaller might work just as well and less adapters required. I just want something to hold me over until the new design comes out.

I would say 3/4" is the normal size but 1/2" does work for smaller scrubbers. It just depends on how much flow your needing to put over the screen. If your screen size is small enough that a MJ1200 will provide enough flow then a 1/2" pipe will work fine.

thanks. For some reason I swore that I read it had to be 1". I went out and bought my pieces then read again and couldn't find anything stating that!!

I am going to go with the loop method and drill holes instead of a slot. I could cut off a finger before getting a straight slit cut, that's for sure!

    Thanks for the info.
