Algae Scrubber for small Koi Pond

After good success with scrubbers on 2 tanks and promising progress on a third scrubber, I decided to install a scrubber oon my small koi pond, which usually requires alot of water changes. There are 5 small koi in the pond. Soon I will install one on my large propagation system.

I'm not sure how well this koi pond scrubber will perform. The koi pond is tucked against the front porch of my townhouse and is partially shaded by the eaves, ferns and a palm. The front of the town house faces almost due east. During the mid/late afternoon the pond gets some direct sunlight but most of the day it gets only filtered/indirect light. I installed the scrubber in a location that gets sunlight in the late afternoon. If it grows well I will build some waterfall feature out of it or something, so it looks nicer.

If it can get 5 hours of direct light, it should do good.

    I have a 700gal pond with 3 Koi about 12" and 3 smaller goldfish.

What size mesh and flow should I be using if I was to fit a scrubber? My return pump is 6500 lph.

It's starts getting some direct light around 3 and gets more as time goes until the sun sets. Hope that's enough, will keep you posted!

The HOA is a pain here, if I could rig it in a bucket further out I would, but they whine about things visible from the street.
