    Also needed: Some extra plastic canvas, or any mesh of any color, about 12 x 12 inches. Does not need to be roughed up.

    I am covered there.. I bought 10 screens when I first got into scrubbers for a whopping $3.30 (33cents ea)... still have 3 new ones left after all these years. But 12x12 is a little hard since normal screens come in 10.5"x13.5" sizes.

    @SM in your opinion will this new design be the way to go for a high bioload 300g+ tank setup vs. a boxed acrylic design?

    If you are running the 300 now and need filtering now, I'd wait on this one. Use a proven design.

    You should have the other parts you need.
