Debating, add gfo or not to add....

So I check today and after the huge move my phosphates are surely rising. Now at .2

or close, who the hell can reed the damn phosphate kits!!!.... but its definitely blue, vs clear all other times I tested.

So the question of the Year.. do I fall to the GFO pressure?.. or do I let the scrubber do the job over time.

No water changes in close to a year in this tank btw... all other params:

    alk 8dkh
    Ca 440ppm
    Mag 1500ppm
    Nitrate .10
    PH .. who cares.

If you have N and P is rising, then your scrubber is not adequate. Artificially limiting P will do nothing to help you. I would only consider taking action if you have 0.00 N and P is still there. Then you could try feeding more (if your scrubber can handle it). Actually if your screen is green you could try feeding more now, which would raise both and boost growth. Goes against intuition but you are essentially feeding the algae by feeding the tank. Again this is all assuming your scrubber is built and maintained properly.

My scrbber is adecuate.. im getting nice green growth.. i just moved all my stock to a differebt tank and both rosen n and p..

So im just going to let the scrubber work. When n is 0 and p is still high then ill worry. Makes sence?

Nitrate of .1 is pretty low isn't it? You might need to add nitrate in order to get rid of the excess phosphate.
