    Hmmmm so maybe putting a wood air stone in a chamber in the intake path of the pump?

    I have been wanting to try this, I was just going to drill a hole in the pvc and connect a barb to it so I could put the air pump line to it. I thing I might need a one way valve for safety in the airline though.

    As you know, I have been messing with Co2 supplementation. In my last test, the pH went too low and turned the algae white. After restarting with just air bubbles, obviously the pH went back up, this turned all the algae on the screen brown. This indicates to me that brown screens could be a function of fluctuating pH on the screen. However, now the algae is growing nice and green again. Just a warning that you may see some strange stuff going on at first.
