yea floyd i guess that would work,,,I was just thinking that any attachments would make cleaning harder. Hey guys: any thoughts about the stuff that lives in the sump? the "cryptic" stuff? During my big cleaning I nuked all forms of life in my sump. I had thousands of tube worms and strange nems. I was thinking that this "stuff" was doing nothing but catching dirtrus and stealing coral food. My plan is to get some hermits for the sump just to keep worms and sludge at bay....

Some corals are a bit darker than when I turn the liquid food off. But then they don't grow as fast. Other than that, I can barely keep the coralline from taking over.

santa,do you think your coralline grows better because of the liquid food,or just because of stable water?

here are some pics of my corals. Some are bleaching while others look great. I don't understand how this could be? Maybe someone will see a clue in the pics.

I don't know why or how about the coralline.

Different corals always do better in some systems. I never can keep acans or xenia.

The big cleaning you did in your sump is going to cause a spike for a month or so.

just to be clear,,the corals wear bleaching BEFORE any cleaning or any changes. With that said what kind of "spike" should I be looking for? what about my 2" sand bed,,should it go?

Well, even your "better" green screen is very weak in growth. If that's the best it's grown, then this is the problem. You need thick growth to pull nutrients down. It looks like lack of light.
