    Recommended LED wattage?

Just wondering if there is a general rule on LED watts, I am shopping on Ali Baba and there are lots of 7 and 13 watt LED light fixtures with the correct red:blue ration but just not sporting the 3 watt LEDs.

    For example:

    1:6 Blue:Red, but only 7 watts.

Im not a DIY guy, thats why im exploring this option.

I noticed people using 1/2 to 1/4 of CFL wattage.
Myself use 1/2 of previous CFL, and fell like it is much stronger. Reduced hours from 16 to 9.

In general grow light should work. There is no reason not to work as far as wattage is suitable.

    blue460nm and red630nm
I think these wavelengths are a little off. Most people use 660 red as the primary source with some 455 blue. There is a peak in photosynthesis at 630, so it might work, but it might be a bit more "experimental" than you are hoping for.

Ok, here comes the dumbest question yet.. standard US light sockets are 110V? It seems these ali baba are all 220, can they be converted to run on 110, or no? If they can be converted, what type of sacrifice is made by doing so?

US is roughly 120v, Europe is 220v. Just buy the right kind instead of trying to convert. Also, look at grow lights on eBay. The prices don't seem to much different than Alibaba.
