Why not put ALL of the flow through the screen?..

Want to keep the option of having a refuge. Almost all of the flow will be via the ATS so flow or lack of shouldn't be an issue.

If you put the whole overflow throught the screen you will get better filtering.. you can always add chaeto under tge scrubber where it drains.


Its up to you.. but i had the best growth when i ran my scrubber with the overflow.

I did.. a small 10g. I saw an increase in growth when i increased flow..

Keep in mind you can alway put a UAS HOG.05 in there.

You really dont want fuge if your ATS working good. To work good on the other hand you want all flow go to scrubber. Rickys drawing very much describes what I have set up. Before my tank was 16G now 35G. I kept same principle. I really happy with it.

I dont have a fuge or sumps on any of my SW tanks anymore. Many of the new local reefers come over and ask if I have them (the tanks) plumbed into another part of the house where I would have a central sump with my reactors and skimmer. You should see the look on their face when I say no and tell them this little green screen does all that I need and more.
