Nearly 2 weeks of growth, last time I cleaned I scraped it right back virtually nothing on it. It's a bit yellow in the centre so should I retuice by 2 hours?

A bit better? Finally got a nitrate test kit showing as 0

Stupid question, how much should I actually clean off?

The middle is starting to cook; clean it all off and do 10 days.

Very good. Might need a strong scraping to get it off.

Yea I've been using a serrated knife, I'll give a clean and see how it goes. Hopefully it will get better.

Just noticed behind my scrubber on the glass there's a good size patch of hair algae beside the lights. Should I just remove or remove and rub into the scrubber when I clean next?

The more you remove, the more nutrients stay low.

Or just let some snails feed.

The algae seems to be going black in some areas, why? Screens being cleaned today.
Should I have my lights off for 3 hours at a time instead of 6 in one go? What's the best way? Mill have to get a wider reflector these are too small and is burning the middle slightly. My back glass is full or algae and doesn't seem to be going away, starting to get annoying as it won't wipe off.
