    Scrubber help

I have had my scrubber and tank set up for about a month, and I have having some questions now that go along with it. I have my waterfall screen inside a wet/dry filter and my light is on the screen, but there is also algae on the bottom of the wet dry filter, I don't know if I should leave it there or if I should clean it off.

I would clean it out occasionally. The scrubber should out-compete it, but it is still getting the preferred light source, so maybe once a month

I am not sure what to do because right now it seems as though the acrylic walls/bottom are out competing the scrubber screen by far. Is there a way to reverse this and have the screen out compete the acrylic?

The pics don't show much growth at all. When it gets thick, most of the growth will be on the rough screen.
