    Scrubber size new guidelines?

Would a 2 cubes a day scrubber be enought to maintain a 185 gallon reef tank on its own

It will if you feed two cubes a day.. weather you have two fish or twenty.

So a 12 cube a day scrubber would handle the tank by it self with no otger filtration

Why 12? Are you gonna feed twelve cubes?.

I have never run a skimmer..

Floyd maintains a tank 200+ gallons with just the l2.. he has good results. I dont see why it wouldnt work for you.

Thats probably my fault because I feed about 5 cubes a day, and iiluisii plans on keeping a bit more stock than I currently do. Must admit, a 12 cube scrubber would be huge though. Probably need as much lighting as the display tank !

The doc's tank is a 144 and not really heavily stocked right now, and I am noticing that the turnover rate of a 6" wide screen may not be enough, I am staring to get some algae growth in the tank. I believe there is another factor that needs to be taken into account and that is the relationship of tank volume to scrubber turnover rate.
