it worked really well; had some nice GHA growing this last week, it was a pain to unscrew the media reactor to get the screen out to clean ...so being the ever constant tinkerer I just purchased a Kessil H350 and have it sitting over the middle of a PM r30 sump with an acrylic mounted Horizontal screen fit over the refugium section with a vortech underneath it and 3 pumps of varying flow rates moving water to/from the return section ....with some serious flow and intense light I hope to over come the less effective horizontal scrubber concerns ... Ill uplaod some pics tonight

hi, I think the phyto reactor approach is a brilliant one. if tinkered with, this could be a unit that could be packaged and work out of the box for any hobbyist.

i am hoping to get my own adaption made, using a phyto reactor, but with an outlet near the top, allowing fresh aquarium water to continually flow in. the air would be pumped in through an airstone, producing air rich fizzy water.
