1 week test with par38 LED (2700k) UAS setup

Hey guys i just wanted to run these pics past you all and see what you thought...

this is one week with the par38 LED bulb i picked up that is 2700k... This isn't a typical LED setup and i was skeptical of its ability to grow algae but it looks like they will do the job to me.

    What do you guys think?

Its in a HOB skimmer and one side has tons of micro bubbles. I'm guessing the huge amount of O2 is hindering growth on that side? it could be refracting the light...

the left side is the foamy side the right side is after the bubble trap. The left side is growing greener algae though! its just slow...

It also just crossed my mind that i didn't rough up the screen on the left. I think that makes this worth another shot.

2700K LED is for our eyes. 2700K CFL has a lot of red in it. 2700K LED does not. It will grow algae but 660nm red LEDs will grow it multiple times better.
