    PH going south

What resources do I have keeping pH , when my kh is already above 8.2 ?

Just re-calibrated ph meter and found figures below 8. If I just add more kh-ph buffer it is not gonna solve problem for a long I thing, as alc will be consumed quickly.

What should you look for ?

I don't worry much about pH. If you try to chase your pH around, you can get into all kinds of trouble. In fact I don't even track or test mine on any tank. I keep Alkalinity around 9.0 dKH and call it good. Right now I have one reef tank at 9.3 and the other at 9.9.

As long as pH is between 7.8 and 8.4 you're fine.

I do what Floyd does as well. I just keep the dKH as level as I can. I keep my Alk between 8.5-9ish and my pH is always at about 8 on my monthly or bi-monthly (this translates to when ever I get around to thinking about it LOL) pH test.

Mine floats around 7.8-7.9 and I wonder why. Usually it was stable at 8.2 with no effort.

Perhaps you've got a higher volume of bacteria now, resulting in more Co2
